Additional routes
During his lifetime, Saint Columban founded five abbeys. Two centuries later, more than 80 abbeys scattered between Normandy and Italy observe the rule he wrote before they become Benedictines by decision of Charlemagne. All these foundations will shape the territories and their stories of this western part of Europe.
The regional courses propose to discover a certain heritage attached to Saint Columban as well as the particular influence of some of these foundations related to Irish monasticism.
Région Tro Breizh de Colomban - France
Great loop in the heart of Brittany linking 45 sites that perpetuate the memory of Saint Columban, his companion Saint Gall and other Irish monks.

Région liaison Annegray-Bâle - France
This route in the Franche-Comté and then Alsace regions extends the path from Saint Columban to Luxeuil to Basel, allowing to continue its exile path for those who plan to walk from Bangor to Bobbio.
