Cantache Pond
Between Montreuil-sous-Pérouse and Champeaux, this superb waterhole offers several activities such as walks on the peripheral path and fishing. For enthusiasts, many species of migratory birds can be seen.
This dam, which was put in water in 1995, is intended to supply water to a drinking water production plant as well as to support the low water level of the Vilaine River. This large body of water of 185 hectares is 4 kilometres long, 300 metres wide and 11 metres deep.
The lake is home to common species, but is especially interesting for water birds, which can be observed in particular in winter. - Tourist

Several modifications were made between the 15th and 18th centuries. The chapel was built at the end of the 15th century. - Historical
Castle of Vitré
The castle was built on a rocky spur overlooking La Vilaine. A majestic presentation for the visitor who discovers the wealth and power of the Barons of Vitré.
During the year one thousand a first wooden castle was burnt down by the wars and a stone castle replaced it in the 11th century. The shape of the present castle dates back to the 13th century with extensions in the 15th century. The Parliament of Brittany took refuge there for some time in the 15th century.
The castle was abandoned in the 17th century and the fire of the seigneurial dwelling during the Revolution meant that the fortress was no longer inhabited.
In the 19th century, a prison and then a garrison occupied the lord's residence. At the end of the 19th century the French state bought the building.
