Descent of the Vilaine by the towpath

From the start of this stage, we will reach the banks of the Vilaine and we will not leave them again. The passage of the first lock of the Moulin du Comte, then the Roazhon Park stadium, will mark the exit of the city. Then begins a landscape of ponds arranged as a leisure area. Hikers, joggers and cyclists but also herons, kingfishers and cormorants will accompany you. The locks will set the rhythm of your walk.

Description

From the Cathedral square, reach the Pont de la Mission by going down the rue de La Monnaie. Cross the crossroads and join the Vilaine and the Quai de la Prévalaye.

  1. From there, no more problem of itinerary, just follow the towpath up to Pont Réan. Cross the bridge and go up the street "rue de Redon" up to the church.
