You start your walk by following the vineyards on the edge of the forest, you leave the vineyard in favour of the forest with beautiful panoramas, to go down to the edge of the Moselle as far as Bremm.

Old Machern Monastery in Zeltingen Rachtig
The Machern Monastery is a former monastery of Cistercian nuns located opposite the village of Zeltingen-Rachtig on the left bank of the Moselle River. The property is located in the Bernkastel-Kues region (Wehlen district) about five kilometres northwest of the town. It was founded in the 13th century and existed until its secularisation under French occupation in 1802.
Today the monastery houses a historical toy and doll museum. Visitors can discover a playful and imaginary world of dolls and toys. Unique in Germany is "Mein Liebling", a precious doll, produced by Kämmer & Reinhardt in 1909.
A large collection of more than 200 historical icons and sacred objects can be viewed in the Machern Abbey Museum. The icons come from Orthodox churches in Russia, the Balkans, Greece and Ethiopia. They represent the extensive private collection of the merchant Edmund Pauken and his wife Gisela from Bad Breisig.
A brewery with bar occupies part of the monastery. The baroque chapel is worth a visit.

Museum in Alf
The old school of Kockert was built in its original form (southern rear part of the building) in 1732/33 at the same time as the old church. Around 1755, the northern part of the building was added to the original building and all the upper floors were added. It is possible that the extension was used to build a school with apartments for teachers. Further modifications were made in 1785. Then the house was abandoned and sold.
In 1998 the municipality bought the building. It had been empty for years and was again in a disastrous state.
From 1999 to 2002, the cultural services of the city of Af and the association Heimat -und Kulturverein Alf E.V. undertook a fundamental renovation with the aim of creating a small village museum.

St. Remigius Church in Alf
Alf (Alve) is of Celtic-Roman origin and was first mentioned in documents in 963. Formerly part of the lordship of the castle of Arras, the place is described in a document in 1144 as "Biscovesalve" = Alf of the bishop and was therefore a property of the archbishop at that time. Around 1220, a church is attested "Alve ecclesia". So Alf was already an independent parish at that time. The patron saint of the parish is St. Remi, who is mentioned as such for the first time in 1337.
After that, the old church was demolished, except for the back part of the nave. Later, the parish used the building again and, after some modifications over the years, it now serves as a presbytery.
Most of the church's furniture dates from the time of its construction. The stained glass windows in the side aisles with scenes from the New Testament and the windows on the right and left of the church facade date from 1921.

St. Adelgund an der Mosel
Aldegund, a wine and holiday resort, is situated in the heart of the beautiful Moselle landscape, about halfway between Trier and Koblenz. The lovingly restored half-timbered houses in the narrow, winding streets of the old village centre bear witness to the traditional history of this 900-year-old village. Steeply sloping vineyards, a large forest area and beautiful views of the beautiful Moselle valley make a hike with us a very special experience. Thanks to a dam located in the village, the Moselle river stretches almost like a small lake through the entire valley and offers excellent water sports possibilities. It is a place where the cultural life and artistic heritage of a simple village has continued uninterrupted from the early Middle Ages to the present day and has kept the spirit of the village intact.

Saint-Laurent Church in Bremm
The deed of foundation by the daughter of Count Palatine and Queen Richeza of Poland for the abbey church in Brauweiler, the burial place of the Ezzonen, mentions the place name Brembe (Bremm) in 1051 (The Church of St. Lawrence in front of the Calmont, the steepest vineyard in Europe).
In a deed of foundation of the noble family of Count Palatine Poppo at the Monastery of St. Simeon in Trier dating from 1097, a "church in Brimba" (Brempt / Bremm) is mentioned.
During the reorganization of the parish around 1200, this church was given a four-storey west tower with double arcades on the 1st and 2nd floors and triple-coupled sound arcades on all sides on the 3rd and 4th floors. Three binder stones are among the earliest examples of simple Romanesque architectural sculpture in Rhineland rural churches, is a motif of Christian humility. After a fire in 1839, the tower was given a fifth floor "in the previous form" according to the plans of government architect Ferdinand Nebel.

Departure: In front of the Klostermachern take the Altmachern path, parallel to the Moselle, at the crossroads of 4 paths turn left onto the path above the Schöne Ausicht, passing under the B50.
- On the left at the crossroads in front of Calvary Moselblick, stay on your right, enter the woods, go around the telephone tower on your right, go up into the woods.
- After 800 meters at the crossroads of 5 roads in front of a calvary stay on the main road on the right Moselhöhenweg, on the right at the crossroads with L 55 Wittlicher Strasse
- Third street on the left Römerstrasse K 62, straight ahead at the crossroads with L 58, after Sportezmtrum Kröverbreg on your right, left at the crossroads with K 63 Bergstrasse
- After 3500 metres, staying on the edge of the wood, take a path on the left at an angle of 30°, enter the wood, straight ahead at the crossroads, stay on your right at the next crossroads, turn right at the junction with L 105
- At the end of the wood, in a right-hand bend after the chapel, take the path that runs along the vineyards, straight ahead on the edge of the wood and then from the vineyards 2000 metres from the chapel to Pünderricher Aussicht take the second path on the left into the forest.
- In Alf Auf Tannered, at the roundabout follow Ma Moselle with Koblenzer Strasse, turn right along the Moselle and then the B 49, cross the city of Bremm, the St. Laurentius church is in the north of the city, the bell tower guides you.
