    The panoramic view stretches for enormous distances, mainly southwards and eastwards towards County Monaghan. 
    In July, the blueberries are ripe and ready to be picked. Stone from local quarries has been used to build Crom Castle and Armagh Cathedral.

    Corragunt Bridge

    The bridge over the little stream marks the border between County Fermanagh, which is part of Northern Ireland, and County Monaghan, which is part of the Republic of Ireland.
    The bridge bears a Republican commemorative plaque.

Description

From the car park, take the road north to a bridge over the River Coneen :
  1. Turn right at the next crossroads towards Rosslea and follow this road for 800m to a yellow and blue ‘Ulster Way’ sign.
  2. Turn left onto the minor road and climb up to Nadarra Pond. Take the path on the left between the pond and the border, which then heads north until you see the next pond, Jenkin.
  3. At the track junction, turn right (signposted on a rock), passing Jenkin Pond and then Kushkeery Pond. Turn right at the next crossroads and continue for 2km through woodland heading east before turning north onto a small tarmac road (signposted ‘Ulster Way’).
  4. Turn left and then right after 1km (signposted Mullynavale Road). Leave Mullaghfad Chapel on your right and continue along this narrow road until you reach a small bridge over a stream which marks the border between the North and South of Ireland.
  5. Continue south-east through the forest for 1.5 km.
  6. Turn left onto a track before a farm which marks the end of the wooded area. Follow this track through the woods heading north and then east, crossing the Blackwater Brook and then leaving the forest to join a tarmac road.
  7. Turn left to reach the end of the stage.
